About 10 years ago the Dogrib Creek area to the west of Sundre burned in a huge wildfire. The area lies along some of the most scenic country in the area. The Red Deer River flows through the valley and incredible mountain views lie to the west. To the west is also Banff National Park’s eastern boundary. The regrowth 10 years after the fire is very interesting to see. More importantly for photography the area provides incredible opportunities for B&W work and abstracts. This image was first processed in photomatix as HDR/B&W and then further cropped and enhanced in photoshop.
