While it may only have been October, Alberta took on a very wintery look to finish off the month. While that seems very depressing to have winter so early the frost did create some beautiful scenes. We had a week of night time fog which created a frosty landscape to wake up to every morning. I have never seen such needle like frost. It looked like rose thorns.
All of the images were HDR processed in Photomatix using three bracketed images. Then the colours were saturated and exposure levels were adjusted a little more in Photoshop. I played around with the second image in Photoshop RAW converter to try and make the white frost more vibrant. Click on the images to see a larger image.
