Weekly Photo: closeup of rocks at Tangle Falls, Jasper

Slow shutter speed to blur the water

fast shutter speed

While at Tangle Falls in Jasper I played around with my shutter speed and the water.  This is a process that could really benefit from a tripod.  On the slow shutter speed I shot at 1/4 of a second.  I was pleased with the results.  I am sure in a big enlargement camera blur would show up, but at smaller sizes it looks ok.  When you compare it to the faster shutter speed you do see that the rock is sharper in the fast one compared to the slow shot.
